Her armor is jewelry as much as protection — a skeleton-hand bra clasped with a ruby, chains of silver draped across bare skin, skull pauldrons and engraved greaves wrought like artifacts of a lost empire. In one raised hand she holds a skull aloft, a trophy or an offering; her expression is serene, almost bored, the look of a monarch who has seen empires rot.
